AKIHO Europe is an overseas branch of Akita Inu Hozonkai (AKIHO). Established in 1927, it is the principal breed registry in Japan, recognised since 1931 when the Akita Inu was designated a Natural Monument of Japan.
Sharing the mission of its headquarters in Japan, AKIHO Europe is committed to safeguarding this cultural and natural heritage across the European continent. Through its membership, comprising breeders and supporters, AKIHO Europe promotes knowledge and preserves authenticity, aiming to ensure the continuity of the Akita Inu for future generations.
